tuan mami (b. 1981, vietnam) is a hanoi-based conceptual artist whose practice spans installation, video, performance, sound, photography, and long-term community-driven projects. his work is often site-specific and reconstructional, addressing questions of art, meaning, and social interaction. a key project, 'in one's breath nothing stands still' (2014–2017), emerged from years of research into pollution, biodiversity loss, and cultural disruption caused by stone mining in his hometown of hà nam. he graduated from hanoi fine art university (2006), founded mac-hanoi (mobile art center) in 2012, and co-founded nha san collective in 2013. his work has been shown at prospect new orleans, framer framed (amsterdam), and kinan art week (japan). he gave an artist presentation during performance plus 2019 at MoT+++.
