vietnamese-swiss artist and dj based in basel (b. 1995, full name trương ngọc phương thi), working with sound and sculptural installation. holds an ma of fine art from the institut art gender nature at fhnw academy of art and design in basel, with an exchange year at the royal academy of art (kabk) in the hague. her work deals with bicultural identity, the vietnamese diaspora, and how historical trauma is carried and inherited — combining field recordings, voice, and cast materials to build installations where sound and object meet, often drawing on vietnamese architectural details like iron window gates and incense as points of departure for questions of memory, protection, and belonging. at a.Farm, she is developing research into vietnamese blacksmithing and bicultural việt kiều identity, tracing the colonial and post-war histories embedded in craft and material; her residency coincides with a return to vietnam after fifteen years.
