samira jamouchi is an interdisciplinary artist, researcher, and associate professor in visual arts. born and raised in brussels to moroccan parents, now based in norway. her practice spans soft sculpture, immersive installations, and performative processes, often working with wool felting as material-discourse — exploring the entanglement of bodies, fibres, and inherited craft traditions. her research interests include moroccan and african migration to europe and the foreign presence in morocco. she holds degrees from the académie royale des beaux-arts (brussels) and the national art academy of oslo. affiliated with østfold university college, her work has been published in journals addressing art-based pedagogy and a/r/tography. participated in MoT+++'s performance plus 2019 program.
