Laura Philips (NL) is a musician, writer, poet and artist whose work explores identity, loneliness, love and other universal themes. Winding through multiple disciplines, Laura searches for ways to express and to create, which she does intuitively. Every discipline presents new possibilities. “Entering unknown territory is impressively freeing as you have no assumptions, expectations or limitations from inherent patterns or experience. I don’t often get emotionally attached to outcomes. With every new project I am committed to the experimental.” Receiving a grant to research her most recent project, Persona X, about the alter-ego, Laura delves into the murky depths of identity, exploring the borders between self and other.
