ken ueno (b. 1970) is a composer, vocalist, and sound artist, and a professor at uc berkeley, where he holds the jerry and evelyn hemmings chambers distinguished professor chair in music. a recipient of the rome prize and the berlin prize, he is known for developing extended vocal techniques and has performed his vocal concerto with major orchestras in the united states, europe, and asia.
