Carl Stone
practice
carl stone is a pioneer of live computer music and one of the foremost composers working with sampling as a compositional medium. born in los angeles, he studied at the california institute of the arts with morton subotnick and james tenney, and has been performing with computer instruments since 1986. he is based in tokyo, where he teaches at chukyo university.
