irene ha (b. 1997) works under the name baby reni, interrogating fashion conventions through an art practice shaped by her experience as a second-generation vietnamese immigrant in the netherlands. growing up with few southeast asian role models in her immediate world, she draws from internet culture and the spaces between western fashion and traditional vietnamese dress. her collections navigate hybrid identity, systemic collaboration, and the aesthetics of a generation raised online. she graduated from the fashion department at gerrit rietveld academie in amsterdam (2020) and was a finalist in lichting 2020. her work has been shown at unfair amsterdam, non native native fair, and diez gallery. she was a resident at a.farm.
