about
Two Dutch sound artists, Peter de Haan (Ola Moonk) and Paul Tas (Errorinstruments), bring two performances to Saigon for one night.
Ola Moonk: Modular Ritual An ancient ritual, played live on electronics. Ola Moonk shapes deep waves of drone on his modular synth in the moment, drives the pulse on an electric frame drum and sings Mongolian throat song, one voice splitting into many tones from deep inside the body. Old tradition and new circuits become one living ceremony. Close your eyes, breathe, and let the ritual carry you.
The Komorebi Experiment: a magical moment of flashing lights An audiovisual performance by Paul Tas (Errorinstruments) from Amsterdam. Komorebi is the Japanese word for sunlight dancing through leaves. Flickering light turns into sound: lamps, motors and circuits create hidden electromagnetic signals, which are captured and turned into music, together with psychedelic piano, modular synth and ASMR-like textures. Light becomes sound. Sound becomes vibration. Half nature, half frequency.
Free entry, no tickets. Come, buy a drink at the bar and support the venue.
