As we envisioned Mango Tree Reading Station to become an informal, but cosy space for both personal and collective reading experience, we also hope this can be an opportunity to highlight the vibrant, diverse, and resilient independent publishing initiatives in Vietnam, and beyond within our capacity. 

While Kirti features expansive conversations with Southeast Asian art practitioners with unique printing format, Art Republik prides itself in inclusivity — in terms of topics relating to contemporary art in Vietnam, but also in its commitment to bilingual contents. 3năm studio, founded by a group of friends whose practices are grounded on photography, at one point was one of the rare spaces for informal gathering of all kinds in HCMC. Formapubli stands out for its extensive collection of translated literature and philosophical texts, not to mention, fresh take on book cover design!!! Last but not least, AJAR Press, was and is still a refuge for dreamers-wordsmiths in Vietnam and the wider world. 

We are very thankful for their participation, and we truly hope that their works can nourish you just like how they did to us 😛
