Join us on Friday, April 11, for Causal Capture – a short film screening curated by Bert Ackley and Song Nguyên.

Featuring 8 short works by filmmakers based in Vietnam, the event seeks to highlight the charm of lower quality formats in movies, such as analog and digital handycams, while also showing an appreciation for found footage, repurposed media, and the self-documentation of experience. The importance of following impulses and intuition is explored in many of the films as it is likely that footage was captured before the idea for the film itself had materialized.
