A Neighbor is a Canvas Powered by Rice: In Conversation with Three Vietnamese Art Collectives

Join us this Saturday, February 22 at 5 PM for the series “A Neighbor Is A Camera/Canvas Powered By Rice” by Montez Press Radio, featuring conversations about collectivity in clubbing and art-making in Vietnam.

At 5:30 PM, the first conversation will feature representatives from queer party collectives Bung Lon, Vấp Cục Đá, and GÁI NHẢY, moderated by c3lina and Mat Kastella.

At 7:00 PM, a roundtable discussion will take the form of a playful game of Two Truths and a Lie, featuring collective members of Cù Rú | Sao La Art Space, A Sông, and MoT+++, moderated by curator Linh Le.

Throughout the evening, enjoy new mixes by Tran Uy Duc and Vinatapes (aka. Bert Ackley), along with music, food, and rượu (Cù Rú’s signature rice wine). And if the night takes us there—karaoke may be on the horizon.
