Tina Thu

Tina Thu is a Chinese artist born in Long Khanh, Vietnam. She immigrated to Lawrence, Massachusetts at three-months-old and later studied Printmaking at Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston.

Inspired by her family and their practice of ancestral veneration, her work is an attempt to illustrate childhood dreams of hellscapes. Through the process of mapping out this imaginary land, she tries to collect and research displacement of her family’s culture. These grounds are a space for her to reconnect past the loss of tradition and history.
