Born in Vietnam, where she spent most of her youth, Nguyen Le Phuong Linh relocated to France to pursue studies at the Ecole de beaux-arts de Nîmes, from where she graduated in 2016. Based in the Gard region in the south of France, where she has lived since then, she works as a photographer, drawing inspiration from the landscapes, ever-evolving natural terrain, or even more so, from the rituals of France and Vietnam in which she identifies commonalities and distinctions that appear in her work. Not only working in the photographic medium, she also collects objects of all sorts. She periodically creates installations which embody a form of poetic archaeology resembling the environments where she lives.
Nguyen Le Phuong Linh’s residency is part of the Villa Saigon x A. Farm collaboration.
